Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or booking a service with Aman Tap. By contacting us, using this website, or agreeing to a service visit, you accept these terms in full. If you have any questions, please write to us at [email protected] before proceeding.

1. About Aman Tap

Aman Tap provides home plumbing services in the Kuala Lumpur region, operating from 38, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Our contact number is +60 16-294 7185 and our general enquiry address is [email protected].

These terms govern the relationship between Aman Tap and any person who uses this website or engages our services, whether as a homeowner, tenant, or property manager.

2. Services Offered

We currently offer the following services to residential customers in Kuala Lumpur:

Pricing is subject to review and may be updated with advance notice. Any price agreed in writing at the time of booking will be honoured for that booking.

Additional scope identified during a visit — such as concealed pipe damage or multiple fixtures not included in the original booking — will be discussed with you before any extra work proceeds. We will not carry out additional billable work without your agreement.

3. Booking and Confirmation

A booking is considered confirmed once we have acknowledged your request in writing by email or via WhatsApp, and you have confirmed your acceptance of the visit date, time, and quoted price.

Submitting an enquiry through our website contact form does not itself constitute a confirmed booking. We will respond to all enquiries within one business day.

We reserve the right to decline any booking request without providing a reason, in which case no charges will apply.

4. Rescheduling and Cancellation

4.1 By the Customer

You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed visit without charge if you notify us at least 24 hours in advance by phone or message. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, or where our plumber attends and is unable to access the property, may incur a call-out fee of RM 60 to cover travel and time.

4.2 By Aman Tap

In unusual circumstances — such as a plumber falling ill, a road closure, or a prior job overrunning significantly — we may need to reschedule at short notice. We will inform you as early as possible and offer the earliest suitable alternative. No charges will apply in such cases.

5. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing before the visit. We accept payment by DuitNow QR, bank transfer, and cash. We do not accept card payments at this time.

For bathroom renovation plumbing engagements, a deposit of 30% of the agreed price may be requested before work commences. This will be communicated at the time of booking.

If payment is not received within 7 days of the completion date, we reserve the right to seek recovery of the outstanding amount through appropriate channels.

6. Our Workmanship

We take care to carry out all work to a reasonable standard, using appropriate tools and fittings for the task. Where parts are supplied by us, we use standard market-grade components suited to the job.

If a fault arises from work we have completed — and is reported to us within 30 days of the visit — we will return to assess it at no additional call-out charge. Whether any rectification work is billable will depend on the nature of the issue and whether it relates to our original work.

We do not cover faults that result from misuse, third-party interference, pre-existing conditions not visible at the time of our visit, or normal wear after the 30-day period.

7. Your Responsibilities

To allow us to carry out work safely and effectively, you agree to:

We are not responsible for delays or incomplete work arising from restricted access or incomplete information provided at the time of booking.

8. Limitation of Liability

Aman Tap's liability for any claim arising from a service visit is limited to the price paid for that visit. We are not liable for indirect losses, including loss of use of a bathroom, costs of alternative accommodation, loss of income, or similar consequential damages, except where required by applicable Malaysian law.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under Malaysian consumer protection law.

9. Website Use

This website is provided for informational purposes. We take reasonable care to keep the content accurate, but we do not warrant that all information is complete or up to date at all times. Service descriptions, prices, and availability are subject to change.

You may not use this website to distribute spam, attempt to access systems without authorisation, or engage in any activity that could damage the site or its users. We reserve the right to restrict access to the site for any user who misuses it.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, design, layout, and images — is owned by or licensed to Aman Tap. You may not reproduce or redistribute any material from this site for commercial purposes without written permission.

11. Privacy

Your use of this website and our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising from these terms or from the provision of our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
